Shadow Mountain is a lovely, quiet, pet friendly neighborhood located in south Tulsa.
The Shadow Mountain Homeowners Association, Inc. a non-profit association and voluntary organization. Its mission has three primary objectives:
- Improve or protect property values by establishing and enforcing standards of aesthetics, structural integrity, safe practices and maintenance.
- Enhance the security of residents through collaborative programs of watchfulness and active communication.
- Provide a framework to act as a community when this will increase the well-being, safety and quality of life of our residents.
Our mission is advanced by many individual services and activities, including newsletters (digital and print), an annual directory, security patrols, e-mail alerts about crimes or suspicious activity, requests for assistance in finding lost pets, the annual Association meeting, entrance and perimeter beautification and maintenance, insurance policies for the common areas and directors/officers of the Association, and the organization of beneficial community events. When necessary, the Association takes action to enforce the protective covenants and keep them current.
While much of this support and networking is accomplished by volunteers, the direct costs of some services and materials from contractors are met by Association dues. Examples of such costs are mowing, trimming, fertilizing, seasonal planting, irrigation, snow-plowing and utilities for our common areas.
The fee for membership remains at $75 per residence this year. These funds are managed by your all-volunteer board of directors using rigorous record keeping and appropriate internal controls.
Achieving our purposes depends on the many volunteers who serve the community with their specialized knowledge and interests, and their precious time. Please bring forward your ideas and your willingness to help advance our common goals.
